Title: BBC swap

Im looking into swapping a big block into my 80 c10 which currently has a 250 straight six and was wondering what id need to that?

You have to move the engine frame mounts to the V8 slot, you need V8 engine mounts, all BBC specific accessories, new exhaust, Flywheel, depending on the trans you probably need a beefier one, new radiator would be a good idea

the locations should be there. Do a search as I've posted the pix of the different mount locations before. You'll want heavy duty springs too

drop the big block chevy.  buy a cadillac 500 rebuild it for way way less than a 454 and have more power and torque down low where you want it.  is a simple swap and the kicker is youll have 500 ci and only weigh 60 pounds more than a small block.  if you buy and build right you can have a 500 horse 600 ft lbs torque 500 cadillac in your truck for 4 grand.  and it will last longer also.  try that with a 454.
