What's happening fellas. I'm new to this board, been into cars, trucks, boats, and bikes all my life. Didn't play sports(unless it had a motor or wheels attached), and I didn't go anywhere as a kid without, at least, one HotWheel car in each pocket. My first car was a 64 Chevelle Malibu SS(still got it) it needs ground up resto. I got the lowrider truck bug while serving in the U.S.M.C. at Camp Pendleton, California(halfway between L.A and San Diego) after our 86-4runner got stolen. I bought a new 90" Nissan Hard body, dropped it 4" with wide tires,Leer shell, big stereo. Then moved home, sold it and built a bright red 98 GMC Sierra ext-cab w/18" Billet Specialties GTX-05's, Fully bagged(by me) with all the latest stuff AirRide Tech had in 02', shaved tailgate, stake bed pockets, roll pan molded, painted interior....etc. Gave that to my oldest son when he turned 16 in Jan 2008. Now I'm starting a new truck that will eventually go to my youngest son(he'll be 14 on the 21st of this month). I started with a rusted blue and white 75 Chevy lwb w/350 & 400 trans. The body wasn't in good shape but I figured I'd flat black it, drive it to work and do the sheet metal work when I could. Then I run across a 82 GMC lwb in the newspaper(parts truck) for $375. I checked it out not expecting too much, but found a decent truck with VERY good sheetmetal, minimal dents, and "0" rot. So I gave him $300 bucks and me and the boys loaded it up and brought it home. Over this past AEA week, we pulled the 350/400 out of "Old Blue" and then pulled 305/350 out of "new blue" and then tore into the 350 for a fresh rebuild(my 1st). I have build Pics up to this point, and will upload them when I can. I'seen and read many post about new buils and I'm looking foward to sharing this with everone.
