Title: size of carriage bolts for bumper holes
Post by: roadrage41 on April 19, 2009, 05:20:22 pm
my front bumper has a square hole on each side where i assume there were either carriage bolts, or trim of some sort mounted. anyone happen to know if thats what was actually there? as id like to fill them again if possible.
my 82 also has the fangs or push guards on the front bumper, i assume those come off fairly easily? i hate them and want them gone as well as long as theres not going to be garish holes from the mounting bolts.

Mine has carriage bolts. You can get them from a junkyard and are fairly cheap. There should be a bracket inside the bumper where the bolt goes through to help support the bumper.
