Title: Simple tranny swap???

Hello, I have a 84 short step 305/700r with a bad tranny. Also have a 87 long fleet 305/700r with a perfectly shifting tranny. My question is this a simple swap? is the tbi different than the 84 carburated? Will the tranny from the 87 work in the 84? ???

The trans is the same it will swap.  If the donor 87 runs and you get the ECM with it, the engine will swap also.
