Title: Whiteys new wheels....
Post by: Stantonss on April 23, 2009, 05:08:44 pm
Ok... Not sure how I feel about the staggered look yet.

I love these wheels... But, I am just SUPER picky and utterly horrible at life.

Still think I should've went with 20's in the front and 22's in the back.

Let me know what you guys think.

Those look perfect to me.  But I prefer a little meat around the wheels, especially on these classic trucks.  Give them a chance, they might grow on you.

I second the tires, a little skinny for my taste but the rims are perfect, keep the 20's

Thats as wide as I could go on the back according to them with what packages they had.

They look good. I agree about a little taller meat on the back if it'll clear.

That looks great! IMO an inch or two lower wouldn't look bad either.

Thanks guys.... I know I'm solid in width. I agree with the taller side walls.... Thats why I said I kinda wish I'd gone with the 22's to fill in more room. It's all good though! I'll know what to do when it's time for new tires!

Thanks again!

Looks good!  20/22 staggered wouldn't look bad either, but those sit just nice.  What is your suspension setup.  A little lower (1" or so), like somebody mentioned, might set it off completely.  Good wheel choice.  What brand/model tire are you running?

I'm not exactly sure what the drop is... I bought it lowered the way it is.

The tires are Toyo's

295-40-20
255-45-18

So... When I put my new wheels on, I put my old rallys in storage. When I removed them the fronts had a spacer on each side. I have no clue what i did with the spacers... Does anyone have spacers up front on theirs? If so, can you tell me what size and where to get some replacements.

Thanks,

Nice set up! What brand are the rims? My 18/20 set up is on order but I went with a 235/55 up front. It's a taller tire and will fill the wheel well a little more. I like your rear size. I ended up with a 275/40 out back. It's a tad bit shorter than the 295. The guy didn't even suggest the 295. Oh well!  I'll post pics when they arrive!!!!! Looks great!
