Title: Ignition Issue, Need Little Helper
Post by: huckleberry on April 23, 2009, 10:09:44 pm
I have an 87 3/4 ton  4spd manual  350 w/ 600 carb. thats has starting issues. I kinda narrowed it down to the column it's non tilt. I replaced the ignition switch which didn't solve anything and found out while i was doing that when I turn the key the metal rod along the column isn't engaging/pressing down into the box connected beside the ignition switch on the column that has a 3 prong plug into it,  I have no idea what the box is called, that would be a great start to get a name for it .  Do i have to take the column apart or change the key cylinder?  All help is appreciated, I've had the truck for over 7 years and she needs to be back on the road. All Help & Guidance is appreciated, This might not even be the issue but there's not to many other things to replace. I also did the clutch switch 5 years ago.  Thanks

You can even call my cell 610 960 4902
Thanks
