ok so i have a pinging type of noise comeing from my front driverside while driving its louder when driving slow but doesnt go away was told its a differential bearing not for sure though....right now i have the whole front hub apart now my question is where exactly is the differential bearing at i have 2 haynes books but they dont really have any info.....can anyone tell me where its at or give me a website address where it can tell me its at?

There aren't any differential bearing so to speak. There are carrier bearings and wheel bearings on the front solid axle. The semi floating rear axle has carrier bearings and axle bearings. I've never heard a carrier bearing ping.

well nvm i figured it out ;D .....it ended up being the bearing in the stub shaft it was pretty much dry and dirty so i just greased it all up and broke the bearing loose a lil and put it back together....but autozone doesnt carry that bearing, seal, or the shaft soo i will have to order one from somewhere else.

Actually they do carry those bearings and seals.
