I HAVE A 1973 C10 THAT IS HAVING SOME ISSUES WITH THE LIGHTS. EVERYTHING WORKED OK BEFORE I PUT A NEW HEADLIGHT SWITCH IN THE DASH AND NEW LICENSE PLATE LIGHTS IN. NOW WHEN I TURN EITHER TURN SIGNAL ON, THE HAZARDS COME ON. IF THE LIGHTS ARE OFF THE BRAKE LIGHTS WORK FINE BUT IF THE LIGHTS ARE ON THE BRAKE LIGHTS DON'T WORK AT ALL. ALSO, THE HEADLIGHTS AND FRONT RUNNING LIGHTS WORK FINE BUT THE TAIL LIGHTS AND REAR RUNNING LIGHTS WON'T WORK. I DIDN'T DO ANYTHING WITH ANY WIRES OTHER THAN PUT THE NEW SWITCH IN AND PUT NEW LICENSE PLATE LIGHTS IN. ANY SUGGESTIONS WOULD BE APPRECIATED!!!

Double check your work. Make sure you don't have any pins backed out of the connector at the headlight switch. Why did you replace it?
-
Make sure your grounds and lamp sockets at the back tail lights and front park lights are OK. Bad grounds will give you fits with things not working correctly and bizarrely.

It's typically considered proper etiquette not to type in all caps.
-
i never got that about NOT writting in all caps... what is the reason for that? ???
-
Silly people think all caps means you are yelling at them..... HAHA, hillarious, I know.... ;D
-
I wondered why you were yelling...
Do you think the switch is the wrong one? After you check the electrical connector like Vile said, what happens if you take the bulbs back out of the license plate sockets? Just trying to eliminate some things..
-
wow... Thanks. It is very silly. :P
-
I don't know, just makes it easier to tell when you want to stress a particular point and such. And you don't write like that, do you?
-
Lol. I just thought he was hard of hearing so he was typing loud too. Kinda like when you have earphones in and trying to talk to someone at the same time you naturally talk louder.

::) THANKS TO EVERYONE WHO REPLIED. I JUST READ IT THIS MORNING AND WILL SEE WHAT I CAN DO WITH THE TRUCK TONIGHT. YES, I DO WRITE IN ALL CAPS USUALLY. I AM NOT HARD OF HEARING OR ANGRY.

Please don't write in caps.
