does anyone know if 208 t-case can mate to a t56 with an adapter and new shaft from somewhere or if someone makes a kit like advance adapters, already have gen 3 motor but needs more gear
-
why not go with a 205 instead of the 208?
-
would the 205 bolt up to a T-56,if so what all would you need.Sorry didnt mean to steal your post.

I strongly doubt there is anything out there to adapt a T56 to any transfer case, as this transmission was never designed for anything other than 2WD applications and low GVWs. I'm sure if you were determined enough you could have something made. But why? For an offroad machine how about a NV4500 or if you really want a 6-speed a NV5600?

a T56 won't have more gear it will just have more gears and 2 of them on a 4x4 is a waste as they are over drive.
I would look at something like what eventhorizon66 posted.
