Hey i have a ? about my power steering pump its real hard to turn the wheel but when i give it gas it gets easier to turn the pump was dry when i got the engine that its on is this a signal that the pump is going bad?
-
loose belt??
-
THANKS ! Chop but the belt seemed tight ill try to tighten it.
-
Fill it and turn it lock to lock a few times see if that fixes it. If not I'd get some Lucas power steering fluid and let that do its magic.
-
x2 on that one, mine usually does that when its cold out i mean like snow till it warms up then its OK
-
If the belt is tight and it only does it when it's cold take the control valve out of the pump and step drill the orifice 2 sizes up.
-
no not when its cold it does it all the time.
-
Check your belt tension first then like choptop said.

Thanks ill give it a go
