I know quite a few of us have done this at some point. I also know that no matter how many coils or how much coil you cut that it'd be best to get an alignment once done. My question is how much is too much before it's unsafe? I've seen it on here a time or two where it's been said or suggested that too much was cut and was recommended to an alternate method of drop. Is it when there's little to no travel for the bumpstop? If so, how much gap is supposed to be there above the bumpstop? Thanks.

I have the remainder of a cut coil and can take a pic of it if you want. I wouldn't take more than necessary. Do you have drop spindles?
-
If you cut more than 2 full coils out of one it is going to start riding like a wagon. If you need more than 2" of drop, I would get spindles and/or springs.

Vile, I don't have anything right now but in the future i'd like to do the "spindle, spring, and flip" routine.
I was just looking to give it a little attitude when I get the time. I probably won't go low enough to make it unsafe but was curious what that limit was. Thanks for the reply's guys.

I would stick with about 1.5 coils for ride sake.

Thanks Capt. and btw, the decals are awesome! I got three of em.

thanks! I also refunded your car about $5, the catalog freaked out on the multiples. It was supposed to ignore the quantity and didn't.
