Question,
i`m going to replace my drivers door skin shortly with a NOS 1 i got i bought quite a while back. The NOS door skin didnt come with the inner door handle support. I luckily bought 1 off of ebay and now i`m about to remove the old skin, but before i install the new skin the door handle support needs to go in.Did they come factory welded on the skins or were they bonded with a epoxy to the skin???
thanks

Pat, They were spotwelded originally & the handle (mostly) hides the spotwelds. For the new one, I would use an adhesive. Unless you have a high quality spot welder, anything else will lead to a large heat zone. Just my thoughts, Lorne

I was thinking like clean a spot on the support and use JB WELD that way its on there for good.I appreciate the input but i dont got a spot welder that`ll get that clean of a weld so looks like JB weld will work...
thanks

Nope i`m gonna jb weld it
I dont need a tool that i`m only gonna use once and then collect dust.. Rather JB weld it and be done with it..

I would use a panel adhesive over JB Weld. Grind the two parts to be glued together for a mechanical bond. Then Use 3M's or Fusor's panel adhesive. Clamp it with a couple clamps.
