I've read all of the past threads I could find on this subject and considered the options but still have 1 question. Would it matter which transfer case I use when I swap cabs. I will be running a turbo 350 trans and have 203/205/208/241 transfer cases to pick from.
Just wondered if any of these would offer a height advantage so I could avoid using a body lift or modifying the trans tunnel. Thanks.

The 208 and 241 are smaller and have a better linkage system

I'm thinking about using the 241. Any guesses if it will clear the floorpan without using a body lift? I will use a transfer case drop down kit to gain a little clearance. I'm just trying to avoid a body lift or hacking up the floor.

I would rather build a new trans tunnel than use a body lift personally. I'm not sure if it will clear.

I hate body lifts too. The 2wd cab is an 82. The 4x4 is a 81 and it has a bolt on trans tunnel so I can always use that on the 2wd cab if I need to.

Isn't the front output shaft is on the wrong side of the 241?
I would use the 205 if you have, and bolt the old floor section into the new cab.

The 89-91 blazers/suburbans use a 241. It looks real similar to the 208. I think it just has some minor internal changes. The driveshafts/shifter/crossmember all interchange.

Oh yeah forgot about those!!
