So this Sunday my dad and I installed my new head unit and 6 1/2" speakers. We cut holes in the lower door panel and then (of course) had to cut holes..make that squares, behind. Overall it was pretty easy and looks great in my opionion! Especially considering we were basically wingin' it. I still have 6x9's that I need to get boxes for and I also want to install a 10 or 12" subwoofer and an amp. Any suggestions for a sub/amp setup would be greatly appreciated as well! Enjoy the pics!

Where we ran speaker wires between the cab and the door. What a pain in the butt!

Update
I hooked up my 6x9's today, this is just a temporary setup until my dad and I make some boxes to go behind the seat. Believe it or not that's actually the cardboard box the speakers came in, I just spray painted it, cut the holes, and stuffed it full of paper towels, and surprisingly it sounds pretty good!

That looks really good. You two do good work. How does it sound?
The only suggestion I would have given is to put some sound deadener inside the door while you have the panel off. But it looks like you have it back together already. If you didn't do that, perhaps it's something you can do on another Sunday. :)

Sounds terrific! But thanks for that suggestion, we'll have to do that another time, I can hear a little bit of rattling when i turn it up a little. But it does sound really awesome, considering all I have hooked up is those two 6 1/2's.
