Title: RE: THE OIL PRESSURE SENDER THING, PART 2:
Post by: Stewart G Griffin on June 14, 2009, 10:04:36 am
So, how do you know if/when the oil pressure sender thing is in tight enough?

i put thread sealant on and i've got maybe 1,2,3 threads still showing using pliers and it's getting pretty tight to turn.  Also, i noticed that you really can't get a torque wrench on this thing, but even if you could, there's no established torque setting?

Your thoughts?

10lb-ft

Or use German specs - Goodntite

Do not overtighten it

I've always used the German specs for anything NPT.
