I first heard about this guy a few years ago. He is dead serious about the electric car scene, but very funny. He loves to beat up on those that think they are fast. How would you like to get beat by a Datsun B210 running on batteries.
I sell Lift Trucks for a living, he is using technology that has been around for 10-15 years. The only thing stopping you from being able to buy an electric car with a 300 mile range is the oil companies. If you don't believe me just type in "what killed the electric car" and read it for yourselves. I'm not a big conspiracy nut, but I do believe that most of us could be driving an electric car today had they not had the rug pulled out from under them.

Yall see that HBO show where california tried to force car companies to sell or lease so many cars per year in california? Well they fought the law, and they won. They had to lease them for like a year i think, and then they got the law repealed or something and went and collected every single last one of the 300 or so electric cars that they leased. Sad. They said that to go 250 miles, you had to pay for $4 of electricity. If that became the norm, you would see the oil companies disappear overnight.

Another big reason they had to put the brakes on the electric cars is there is no government revenues from charging a battery. There is about $.60 a gallon on gas/diesel right now, that's alot of money. I think we will see it in the next 20-25 years but there will be a heavy tax burden on them.
