Title: does anyone know anything about ipods and itunes?

i have a movie that quicktime and itunes can play but i cant put it on my ipod (2nd gen ipod touch) i try putting it on my ipod and it says it cant play it even though itunes and quicktime can play it...does anyone have any ideas how i can put it on my ipod?

ok did the update and it still doesnt work....i have a video converter that converts videos so ipods can read them...but i tried opening the movie with it and it doesnt even show up

If it's just this one movie maybe the file is corrupted.

Update the firmware on the MP3 player itself. Look under "Support" on the Ipod website.

it said theres a new firmware but it said for purchase....i dont need the movie on my ipod that much so im not going to buy the new firmware

So you converted it to mp4 and you can play other .mp4 movies on your ipod but not this particular one?

Purchase?! Forget that. I will now never ever be buying an ipod. That is a complete ripoff. All other companies give it for free. I just did it on the GF's sansa and it was painless and free. It's thought of as good customer care and standing behind your product. So the lesson is, stay away from apple. Get a zune or something lol

lol well ive done a firmware update before and it was free but for some reason this one i have to pay for...i didnt get my ipod because its apple but because its touch screen and u can basically do anything on it....i used to have a zune then i sold it and got my ipod( my zune was a limited edition halo 3 zune)

its not a big deal i dont need the movie on my ipod i just didnt understand why itunes and quicktime could play it but not my ipod...and i already have a free converter

the update costs $9.95 eventually itll probably be free so ill just wait
