Am I missing something, or have the wrong parts? I would like to keep it original, but if I have too, Ill just newer style ones. More pictures are in my album here http://share.ovi.com/album/DarkReaper79.73GMC

What's the bracket for? The brackets were used on the chevy vans. On the 73 and 74 the washer bottle sits right in the V-grove in the factory fender. If you don't have the original fender it won't have the V- that the bottle sits in and you'll have to go to a bolt on style.

So it looks like the previous owner put in a van washer bottle. Nether the fender that was on there, or the replacement had the v-groove. I might see if I can fab something up, if not, ill go with the bolt on. Thanks for the info Vile.

It looks like you have the right washer bottle. Can you take a pic of the inside of the fender?

Looks like there is an indent for it. But thats it

The more i looked at the bottle, im just going to get a bolt on one. Ill sell the 73 one, or ebay it to someone who can use it. Unless I get ambitious and fab soomething. I spent most of the afternoon trying to wire in a newer wiper/washer assembly ::) I got spray and slow and thats it :'( but thats a different post.

the bracket wasnt even supposed to be there ::) I remember the bottle that was in it, it had a big hole in the bottom but looked the same. Now what to do, get the same, or a proper one :P

I would get a later model in tank pump and bottle.

My wiper motor has the build in pump. But Im sure the bottle w/pump is better. right? Ill have to see what I can find at the junk yard this coming weekend.
