On my 84 k10  automatic i found a crack in my transfercase and is leaking BAD! Now my transmission is showing way low on the dip stick and i know it is not leaking. Is the fluid going into the transfer and then out the crack?  Do they share oil back and forth?

If the transfer case seal is bad yes it will leak into the transfer case. Sounds like you don't need to bother fixing that seal though since you've got a cracked case. Just pick up a used one.

Thanks Vile! I thought there was a seal there just wasnt sure. I just picked up another transfer case last night so i can swap it out today.
