Title: lift advice
Post by: psychomidgit on July 02, 2009, 03:03:13 am
Hello everyone, I have an 84 K10 LWB that I am going to lift 6" within a few months of returning. I know that there are a lot of posts on here like this but I still haven't got a straight forward answer. I am going to put 35's on it and have every intention of offroading it as much as I can and as hard as I can. The three companies that I'm trying to decide between are Skyjacker, Tough Country, and Rough Country. I know I'm going to go with a system, and would like to buy the best parts that I can. I have no problem spending a lot of money as long as it's going to be worth it, but I'm not looking to spend frivolously. I have heard everywhere that Skyjacker is a great lift company, but what about Tough or Rough Country? I normally would just go ahead and go with Skyjacker, but being where I'm at(Alaska) it's going to cost me a lot just to do anything, so saving some money would be really nice.
Another question is with what I'm looking to do, will I need to get dual steering stabilizers, or is it highly recommended?

Im running a tuff country 6 inch with tsl 35s on my 82 k5 right now and i really like it. I had a 4 inch rough country with 35 inch bfg mts on my 82 k10 and it was stiffer than the tuff country. Both were dds and weekend toys, both worked well off road. As far as the dual stabilizer they look good but not sure if there is any advantage over a single with 35s.
