Have any of you guys put a sunroof in your 73-87 truck? If so, how difficult was it and how are you liking it?
I have an aftermarket sunroof in my '87 Camaro and I love it. Just wondering about one in my '82 crew cab.

ive never done it or seen it done but ive heard that they leak....if you can figure out how to make it not leak then in my opinion it would be a good project i like sunroofs in trucks

they always leak eventually.
I never seem to look up very often, either.

I HATE sunroofs.

Not worth putting 1 in..

I put one in my 82 k5 not hard 2 do. Would i do it again no, was fine for a year now it leaks!

My Camaro has had one for over 10 years. The only leak issue I really have with it is when the rubber seal gets dirty. They usually leak because people don't keep them clean.

Not to resurrect this from the dead, but I was thinking about grafting in some T-tops or a full convertible top. Not that I'd ever get around to it, but It'd be food for thought. Anybody seen the like or thought of something similar?

Way back in the early 90s when I was in high school, a local used car lot had brought in an early 80's short-wide. It had a body kit on it, rims, tube grille, etc. It had aftermarket T-tops installed in it. They looked pretty cool but one had a crack in it and I'd imagine it would be expensive (then) and next to impossible (now) to find a replacement panel. I don't know who made the t-tops. Never saw one again after that.

I'm not a big fan of sunroofs and would never add one to my truck.
But your questions is how difficult would it be to install one. I'd say it would be pretty easy.
