Anybody know where I can buy a new one? I've searched online including ebay and have turned up nothing. No luck in local junk yards either. Seems to be one of those elusive parts that nobody has. I have a 82 K24 with JB7 booster. Thanks.

Brake rod boot? Do you mean the power booster filter?
-
Nope. The rubber boot that goes between the power booster and the fire wall. Covers the brake rod and keeps dust out of the booster.

Used would probably be your easiest cheapest bet.

Reviving a REALLY old thread here, but I just wondered if anyone has found a source for these brake rod boots (aka brake booster boots, firewall boots). I'm replacing my booster and this boot is cracked. I haven't been able to find a new one.
Here are a few pics:

Google "brake booster boot" Plenty of options or grab a used one from a donor

I already looked through everything on Google. Most are the rubber accordion style. If you look at the thread I linked from Mike81K10 on his '81 K10 build, he has a picture of one of those and said it doesn't fill the hole in the firewall, so it would not be water tight. I'm just trying to see if anybody else has found a version that actually IS water tight and fits like it's supposed to. I found a few plastic ones that fit Camaros, but they look shorter and more angled than what fits on our trucks. Yes I could get one from a junkyard, but they'll likely be aged and brittle, just like the one I took off. Not ideal. I can custom make something if it comes to that, but I'd really like to find a source for new parts that are just like the original. If I find anything I'll pass it along here.

The plastic boot isn't water tight. The cowl seal is supposed to be what prevents water from entering there.
