Title: Bed Swap: 86 K10 to a 76 K10

I have been searching the boards but I can not find a definate answer to this. Can someone tell me if I can take the bed from an 86 K10 and put it on a 76 K10? I thought that I read somewhere that you could but I cant remember for sure. If you can, is it very difficult or fairly easy to do?  Also, could someone give me a general rundown of the procedure or a link to someone that has done it or explained it already? Thanx in advance. yea man it will bolt down no problem my 78 had a 86 bed on it

Sweet!! I have done a little research on it myself and it seems the electrical connectors are different between the two years as well. But that is easy enough, just a little splicing and good to go. Anyway, I plan on doing the swap this week sometime or this weekend. Kinda looking foward to it, just hope I can get a few guys to help me lift them off. This is definately due though. The bed that is on there now is in need of some serious work. Figured I would throw the 86 bed on there and try to fix the 76 bed. Anyway, thanks for the help. Much appreciated. Later. Brian.
