I am changing the oil on my new 1983 gm 6.2 diesel which i am not very familiar with. I have drained the oil and replaced filter and now am unsure of where the cap is to fill up with new oil. I have found a cap similar to the radiator cap at front passenger side of block is this the oil cap. Stuck my finger in there and there is oil in there but i want to be positive. Please help im outta cigs and need to finish so i can get to store. Thnks

Nevermind i filled where i thought it was and it was so all is good

reminds me of a story when i worked at autozone this foreigner came in got some antifreeze then put it in came back in said "i put it in the overflow tank but its not going into the rad" or something close to that went out to look at his car he put the antifreeze in the washer fluid jug. ::)
