How hard would it be to move my drivers side gas tank on my 81 C10 over to the passenger tank spot? I may have found a 70's stepside bed for cheap, but it has the spare tire indention and holder on the drivers side and the filler hole is on the passenger side. Is it as simple as flipping my tank brackets around and bolting it on the other side, or is it more in depth?

i don't think you can just flip them. but if i was going to move mine i would go for one thats in between the fuel rails just to get it out of the way

The hardest part would be obtaining the filler hose (if you want factory) and either routing new fuel lines to the sender (or get the correct one) Pretty much should flip other than that.

Are you keeping the indented fender? Please say no?

Yes swap the brackets end to end on the tank and it will bolt right up on the other side of the truck. Holes should allready be there. Filler neck, and fuel lines will be a little work.

Not sure on that one, would have to see on truck to judge. Although looks aside it would be nice to at least have the ability to change a flat on the road. (That is after I stop driving on the spare...)

There is a girl around here with a nice stepside but that fender.... It just ruins the truck.

how about doing something really trick like moving the tank to the rear, and hide the filler. That's on the list of things to do in round 2 of my resto-moding.
