Hi all,
I installed a Sunpro Supertach a while ago and it has had the slowest needle I've ever seen on any tach. It's to the point where it doesn't even catch up to where the motor is revved. I have it hooked up the same as my last on to the negative side of the coil from my HEI distributor and the last one worked just fine. Any thoghts? Possibly a bad apple? I will contact Sunpro for possible warranty info.
Thanks

Has it always done this? Double check all your connections.
I don't know what "a while ago" is for time (you did bump after 3 hours :)), but I'd be looking at returning it if all my connections were good and installation is correct.

I installed a SunPro Supertach II in my 87 Grand Prix, Did you make sure the little switch on the back of the tach is set to V8 instead of V6?

Connections are good, switch is in v8 position, yes it has always done this from day one.

That's why I mentioned returning it. I've got a Sun pro water guage that's heading back, it reports my water temp @160 max. It might be believable except for the 195 deg. thermostat. Store slip says 90 day replacement if defective.
