i brought my new engine for my 1978 c10 i will be running the 5.3 gen 3 with a 700 r4 transmission im going to send the ecm and wiring loom to wait4meperformance for the modications needed for the bare needs of the truck to run , hopefully it will come back a lot lighter i really dont know what they remove from the wiring harness, but they also mod the ecu somewhat????
looking forward to picking the engine up this week hopefully tomorrow afternoon and get cracking on the conversion and ideas ,hints or info would be great thanks!!!! (http://)

you beat me to it Aussie.
maybe thats why the name is wait 4 performance
They want you to do what their name implies.

the guy had plenty of them from $450 complete

as i found out the stock pass manifold hits the rail has anyone used aftermarket f body ls1 headers? and do the engine plate adapters move the position on the engine back or forward from original position????
-
BRP Hotrods have headers that fit these as does Street and performance. I think there may be people on performancetruck have used different headers, but I don't know of any that will bolt in.
I also suggest getting the plates from the same place (check my website project). They put the LS back in the same place as the original SBC. Some companies move them forward, you don't want that. Edelbrock and S&P offer 1" setback (from SBC) that is what I am using on my truck.
