hey what is the best thing to get paint off aluminum wheels ....they were  painted black by previous owner ...paint thinner didnot work

Aircraft striper! Autozone advance auto or most any autoparts store has it! You will need a brush to apply it though. Its like a gel almost and it is bad stuff. You will need to wear rubber gloves and i recomend safety glasses too.i would also have the tires dismounted so you dont ruin them.

3M Gasket Remover.  It will take anything off.  Don't get it on your paint.

A problem here is when you take that paint off the clearcoat comes off to which looks awful.

Industrial paint stripper then use the powerwash to remove it all..works a treat.
