Title: 78 hydroboost brakes to 85 brake booster

will a 85 brake booster  fit my 78 c10 where the hydro was?? what do i need???

Fit, yes. but you will be missing 2 of the mounting bolts for the diaphragm setup and you would need the booster and the rod.

And the hydro boost pedal to rod pin is in a different location so you'll need a pedal from a vacuum boost truck. This will give you the right presure and eliminate the return spring that the vacuum system does not like.
