Does your truck still have a job? I'm sure we all don't use them as hard as we used to, but if your truck still has a job lets see them doing it. Townig, plowing, mudding, racing ect. Here is mines weekend job, getting me and the boat to the lake. Boat is a 2006 Tri-toon 25' with a 5.7 mpi V-8. I get lots of looks when this is rolling towards the lake, and that's what it's all about isn't it?
-
Boat looks bigger from this angle. :o
-
Mine sits most of the time, lucky to put on 2000 miles a year on it.
-
my truck hauls lawn equipment every week
-
Just what I bought it for, clearing the driveway. And now occasionally hauling my butt around.
-
Absolutely. The new class 3 hitch tows car trailers and the 8ft bed hauls everything and anything else. ;D
-
"Scotti" works his butt off but shows it off at the same time. I probably won't take pix of me haulin wood or garbage around with him but he works and looks good doing it. My pink and my 74 don't work, they play. They're like dogs, they got the easy life. My 75 Blazer will work while he plays ;)
-
I don't have a pic of it but this one is currently hitched to a landscaping trailer with lawn equipment on it. It runs about 3 times a week.

This one runs about 200 miles a day. I install flooring trim throughout northern Maryland and southern Pennsylvania.

My '79 K30 works pretty much works all the time. When I'm not in it I'm driving my '73 C10. I sold my 2005 GMC that I bought new because I don't like modern trucks. My Uncle has a '85 C20 thats his daily driver and a '72 C10 thats his nice truck. My '79 is my welding working truck. It weighs 9000 lbs all the time. I've got all my tools on it plus a Miller Bobcat 250 and an air compressor. This winter I'm puttin 540 pto and hydraulics on it. I've owned it since I was 17 when it started out as a K20. It has done alot of muddin since then along with hauling firewood, logs, tractors, trucks, and so on. As long as there are still parts for it I will be drivin the ole girl. The '73 is a factory 454 Cheyenne Super 10 with 64,000 original miles. Its fun to drive. Better than driving any newer truck.

He's named Scotti because tragically my cousin's son died right in front of me and I bought the truck off of them to help them out. So I named the truck after him.

Mine.. I carried some drywall in it once, a cooler will fit in the back, umm thats about all it does or has done pretty sad now that i think about it. Oh I know it collects dust, is that a job? Just kidding it does just what i want it to. Nothing, I guess I just like playing with it.
-
Only real work mine does is hauling myself, the fiancee, two dogs and all the associated crap to the boat for the weekend. I've had various boat hauling trucks over the years but now that the boat is too big to pull, I just need something for hauler duty.
-
Mine hauls stuff on the trailer mostly. I did keep the old drop in bedliner in incase I want to bang up the bed a bit. It has enough capacity that it'll get something in the back sometime.

79 K30,
I like your mudflaps on the dually! Is that a 1066 on the trailer?
I guess to keep this post on topic, mine hauls whatever I need hauled and pulls a small trailer regularly. The last thing I used it for was to haul a new chair home from the furniture store. I don't haul dirt or gravel or that kind of stuff in it though.

Thanks farmallgray and yes that is a 1066 on the trailer. I restored it in 07 and that pic was last summer when I was headed to Red Power Roundup in Columbia, MO.

Good lookin dually! I have been trying to find one around here that isnt eaten up with rust, but that is near impossible!!
-
My 87 R10 is my daily driver and I pulls a boat to the lake and a couple of weekends it was haulin limbs/brush to the dump.
My 91 Crew takes us on trips and it was also used to haul branches to the dump.
My 78 Blazer is responsible for holding the concrete down right now along with 2 other projects but at a different location :D
My 84 K5 4x4 blocks my garage door right now.

My truck is retired. She worked her butt off for many years and deserves a rest, over 450,000 miles. Every once in a while Kelly takes her out does burnouts just to show the neighbors and visitors what she can do. Once we get her painted and get her registered as a classic, she will probably be driven more. Can't get her inspected due to an open air cleaner.
