i dropped my 85 long box 1/2 ton 11" in the rear using a flip kit drop shackels and 4" blocks..in the front i am using 3" drop spindles and cutting coils..i am going for a retro look and love reverse rake..i was looking on this site and couldn't find anyone even going close to that in the rear..i could care less about ride quality as long as it is safe..it physically drives down the road but i always see everyone talking about pinion angle..what happenes if it is way off..mine seems fine but i just need to know what to look for..i also want to know if 3/4 ton leafs mount rite up..i also just want to see what people say in general about this..

i can't get them to download rite now..i just wanted to know what people think..the pictures are just of a low truck with a c-notch and no box..

I had a 4 1/2-9 there was almost a inch of clearance for the axle on the c-notch and bed floor

Try putting the pics on photobucket and then downloading them. I'd still love to see the pics.
As far as safety, my only concern would be if the you hit a pothole, dip/bump fast enough and the suspension has no room to articulate, I'm thinking there could be the possibility of a blowout. Something has to absorb the bump. I could be wrong though but just one of my concerns.

i laid the shocks out pretty much flat..they still work and absorb bumps..i'm also gonna put 3/4 ton leafs on..it'll make it stiffer and actually a little lower too i think..i was most worried about the driveshaft destroying the transmission by being too long or short now..that is my only real concern..i've already driven the truck down the road with no box..it goes fine but the ride is a bit harsh..i'll take style over comfort any day..i'll get pics up eventually and thanks for the help..much appreciated..

If the pinion angle is off, it will start eating u-joints.
