Title: Needed: reasonable asking price for a 1976 GMC Sierra truck...PLease...
Post by: recentwidow2009 on August 11, 2009, 08:08:45 pm
My husband recently passed away. I have had several offers for his hbby truck.
He always said $5000 knowing that was too much...so people would stop asking. He had purchased many parts and a 400  block motor to start restoring it. He became ill and never got th opportunity. I would like to sell it for a reasonable price. I want to put the $ into a CD for our 6 yr old grandson.
The truck is all original,89000 miles, dark green, short bed with a new silver tool box.

Sorry to hear about your husband. There wasn't quite enough info given but this is something to go off of. It's quoted for a 76 GMC 1/2ton fleetside shortbed 2wd.

Hope this helps and good luck!

Pictures would be very helpful. How well it runs and also need to know its general condition. Beware the fact that it is a short bed truck increases it value.  I usually try to find similar vehicle on craigslist.org to use as a guide. Have you considered keeping it with the family. sorry to hear about your loss.
