Morning, my 84 was equipped with cruise control at one time long ago. The wiring was butchered and I am not sure what all componets need to be present for it to work right. I have heard that there is a module, a sensor, a servo and a control valve that are part of the system, does anyone know where they are located and if the locally parts store carries them? If this has been posted in a thread already please point the way and Thanks for your time.

They weren't that good.  If you can find an aftermarket setup, I would go that route instead.

Do you know of a kit that works well for trucks like ours? What was so bad about the old ones?

They didn't keep the speed constant.  I think Vile posted something on aftermarket ones in the past.  Did you do a search?
