Title: mystery wire

While taking out my drivers side seat belt to do some interior work, I found a black wire (with a white line) running to a metal tab on the inside of the seat belt assembly. No wire or tab on the pass. side. Tried looking it up but can't figure out what it belongs to, anyone know?

My first guess would be the seatbelt warning light(if there is one, depending on year)
