I searched but I wasn't able to find anything on the topic. I'm in the process of doing a frame off resto and I pulled the leaf springs out of my truck the other night and the left side ones were broke in half, so needless to say I need to get new ones. I have a 73 Chevy c10. I was looking through at their leaf springs and they have several different number of leafs available and I don't know whats going to work for me. I'm planning on doing a 3"/4" drop, and the truck isn't going to be used to do any heavy hauling, any suggestions on what springs to get? Also my truck came with a 12 bolt rear, I plan on swapping in a LQ4 with bolt ons, will that rear end hold that kind of power or is that something that should be upgraded?

How are you planning on lowering the rear? What's your existing spring pack count?

I was originally planning on getting lowering shackles and hangers. I think the springs that came off were an 8 pack. It lived most of itslife as a hauler and farm truck but wont be seeing much if any of that anymore.

The factory 12 bolt will hold up just fine. If your going to beat on it hard, you might consider a girdle.

8 leafs are 56" long and were HD setups. To go to a STD 53" you would have to move the rear hanger.
