I know a few guys have posted questions about the best way to lift a cab off of the frame. Well if anyone is wondering how much the cab weighs this one came in at 520 pounds at the scrap yard (it had floor and firewall rot).
I'm guessing that you could drop the weight down to about 425 pounds by removing the seat, rear window, master cyl/booster/ heater core etc.

Interesting to know
-
looks like you scraped alot of good parts

I have fixed hand fulls of cabs worse than that!

What parts would you have saved?
Anything I thought I would use in the future I saved. The steering column wasn't a tilt(I already have a few of those), master cylinders are cheap enough to buy new, and the wiper motor was pretty slow. I thought I picked it clean. Any part you can see I have at least 3 spares of.
I even saved the visor in case Vile changes his mind.

I know, I've seen your work and I'm impressed. I bought this as a parts truck. It was never intended to be a resto project. I know anything is fixable but the rot on the firewall was pretty extensive.
Blazin, are you looking for a project. I have anouther cab that needs rockers you can have for free if you wan't it. It's in Mass, not too far away. I bought the truck for the bed.
Let me know and it's yours.

I migt have saved the steering wheel. It doesn't look super expensive or fancy but it still would be a lot better than a stock steering wheel.
