wanna know if its worth it, found a local guy with a set of 35x15 16.5 super swampers (bias plys) mounted on 8 lug mickey thompson aluminum mod wheels. said he paid $250 a tire and $140 a wheel with about 3,000 miles total on em all. i can get em for $700 all
is it worth it?? i know how those dang bias plys get flat spots and the truck will sit a bit

Seems like an OK deal. Not a great deal.
I would just make sure the tires are in as good of shape as he says they are... Check tread depths, damage, dry rot, DOT dates, etc.

good point. hard for me to swallow spending $700 for bias plys when i have a 3/4 tread set of 35x12.50r16.5 bfg mud terrains on the truck now. just so dang hard to find big tires for the 16.5 wheel

I'd pass....Those tires will ride so bad you'll hate your truck.

I had 44" swampers on my truck and hated it. It really didn't feel safe driving down the road. I lowered it down and put on 35" BFG all terrains, it's a completely different vehicle now. You wouldn't compare it to a Cadillac, but it's now my daily driver.
