Post by: hogwild on September 08, 2009, 08:05:35 pm: how much does a 73 -87 1/2 ton long box ,v-8 wiegh ? how about the mid 90,s lomg box v-8 are they that much lighter?

i know that post 80's trucks till 87 were some 300# lighter through glass, frames and other parts!!

i was goign to say lighter then 5100lb which is my rclb 4x4 3/4 wiht ~20gl of gas.. full tank its 5600 with out me.

Post by: oldredtruck on September 17, 2009, 09:58:16 pm: I remember getting mine weighed when I was doing a "Ditty" move when I was in the Marine Corps...ran it across the scales devoid of fuel - washer fluid etc...( had to get her real light before I loaded her down for the next trip across the scales - you got paid by the lb)
it was 4011 lbs... I prob still have the ticket from the scales in the glovebox...
