on my truck i noticed that theres a sensor mounted to the gas pedal braket and when i push the pedal to WOT the arm of the pedal pushes against the sensor...does anyone know what this is for?
-
It's the kickdown solenoid for your tranny.
-
so when thats pushed it tells the tranny to shift down? because if im going slow enough it will downshift before pushing the sensor
-
It's not a sensor, it's a switch. The switch is used to energize the detent solenoid in a TH400 transmissions.
