Does anyone know anything about doing an HID headlight conversion on these trucks, or what companies make a good HID conversion setup that actually works well? I've heard that many of the kits that you see today look brighter but don't actually let you see farther; in some cases they supposedly lessen your field of view.

I am guessing you haven't used the search function?

I did use it, but I only got one find and it had nothing to do with this, lol. Thank you

If you're looking for better light output you could do a H4 upgrade (http://www.rallylights.com/detail.aspx?ID=64) and use higher wattage bulbs. And/or add auxiliary lights.

Just know that you pretty much have to do the conversion that was shown in the thread he posted. You get the projection lenses out of an Acura TSX or something. Im sure anything small enough to fit would work just fine. But I say this cause I have a friend that did it without them... his lights are no brighter than my stockers are on bright. Kinda pointless. He is going to have to do the conversion later.

Looks pretty cool. I will probly be doing something similar to my truck. But as HID's go, I'm not for sure that would work. The lenses people use on conversions seem to be a lot deeper than those. And I'm not sure how well the HID bulb would fit in there. But who knows, maybe they're perfect for it.
