Hello all, first post. Been lurking for a while but decided its time to add to the community (hopefully).
Anyway, I was looking at a later model (96ish) Suburban spring hangers and noticed that the springs mount higher (in relation to the frame) than the stock hangers by about 2". I wonder if anyone has successfully used these to lower their truck or if it is possible. If so, it would make for a nice cheap, factory lowering option.

I haven't seen anyone use the Burb mounts. I have seen guys remove the truck mount, cut the top down, and bolt it on a few inches higher up. Either way will work but you still need to add a lowering shackle. If not your pinion angle will be off by a lot.
