President Carter turned 85 today and was on the news.   This got me thinking about younger brother billy and i faintly remember him being associated with chevy pickups, i think?

There is much more info on this truck and it's driver but i don't have time to really read it all:

I remember back in '78 we drove down from Richmond to Orlando Fl to disney world.  We stopped in Plains GA and sat on the bench in front of Billy's service station.  It was closed.  I looked in the window and saw a bunch of Billy Beer.  Down the road Dad bought about 4 six packs of the stuff.  They all sit, unopened, on his his bar in his basement right now. I remember, as a young boy then, how small the town of Plains was.  Oh, and i ate some peanuts.  ;D

This truck was sold recently -- within the last year or so either on eBay or one of the classic car/truck sites.  I don't remember the price it brought.

UPDATE: Quote from sportscarmarket.com (http://www.sportscarmarket.com/Profiles/2006/7/American (http://www.sportscarmarket.com/Profiles/2006/7/American)) "Billy Carter’s 1977 Chevrolet “Redneck Power” Scottsdale pickup sold for $19,250 at the RM Amelia Island Florida sale, March 11, 2006."

I thought it was sold much more recently than that, though, and maybe it has.
