Title: Hello from Nebraska
Post by: y2k_harley on October 02, 2009, 09:20:35 pm
I just joined the site.  I have an 86 Chevy C10 short/wide box.  Ive owned it for about 2 years and slowly have been working on it.  Has a GM crate 350 with a turbo 350 tranny with 2.73 gears.  Body is pretty solid with a little rust in the cab corners.  I am hoping I can solve a couple of problems with the old girl.  Delay wipers don't work and wipers won't park when shut off.

Thanks in advance,
Doug

wipers won't park when shut off.

What do you mean, they don't go down?  Just gently push the wiper blades down with the switch off.  It will park after that.

By the way, welcome from the heart of Ohio...

When I turn the switch off the wipers stop where ever they are in the cycle.  So I just have to push them down?  It won't break anything???

I thought you meant that they stop everytime, like in the middle of your windshild.  If they stop everytime in the same place, yes you can just push them down and they will stop at the bottom where they are supposed to.  I have done this to allot of cars and never had a problem with them.  As far as stop wherever their at, I don't know if this will help you or not...
