Title: Rear Roll Pan, are they all equally good?
Post by: treepete on October 05, 2009, 10:25:27 am: I would like to get a steel rollpan for my 83 short box. Are there any brands you guys recommend? I figured they were all about the same price range, so I thought I would ask.
also, when installing a roll pan, do you remove the rear bumper mounts and the pan bolts the the frame there, or are they welded in?

None of them bolt to the frame. They weld the the bed.

Post by: dv8customs on October 06, 2009, 09:23:12 am: For a different look check out the three piece pans that Grant Kustoms carries. The 3 piece roll pan moves the pan back so that it is in line with the tail gate eliminating the dip you get with standard pans.
