Title: vin # searching
Post by: pewster on October 05, 2009, 09:51:44 pm
Does anyone know how I can search my vin for options and if it was an original cab and chassis truck or a pickup? The vin is ccw33av134292. I looked in   and it said that if the 5th digit is a 4 it is a pickup but nothing for a 3. Any help please?

best thing to do is take the cab off and see if you vins match from the one on the frame and the cab

VIN's can be decoded on our website here: http://www.73-87chevytrucks.com/VIN.htm
Yours is a 2WD 1 ton Regular Cab, Cab and chassis truck.

C = Chevrolet
C = Conventional Cab
W =?  I will have do some research on W...
3 = 1Ton
3 = Cab and Chassis
A = ?  You sure this isn't a 4 (it HAS to be a number)
V= GMTruck/Pontiac Plant
134292 = build sequence

Framerail under the hood on the top and sometimes on the top UNDER the cab.
