ok new to the 4x4 game. i bought my 1st 78 short bed. it has 33's on stock rims now. is thr anyway to know if it already has a susp. lift? any way my problem is this. i bought a set of good used 33's from the local tire store with aftermarket rims. i went to go put the front on and it went on no prblems but the studs just barely stick out. so i need need new studs. are the rear gonna be same? i went to autozone.com and c that thr r 2 different types of studs, front and rear. any info on the subject would b great. with longer studs will i have to pull the axles??

Take a pic of your wheels. You probably just need different lug nuts. The steelies most likely had acorn nuts where as many aluminum wheels require shank style lug nuts and washers.

the truck is at a buddies house until i can get the fuel tank replaced. anyways that would makesense because the when i bought the tires i had to leave them and pick them up the next day. the tire guy dont forget to get lug nuts. i well try that and hope this works. wow i am so glad i posted that becuase i know how to replace studs but dont want to make a day of if. so thanks for the info
