Title: th350 short tailshaft

can i install a th350 with a short tailshaft in my truck if it was a long tailshaft before? i know id need a new drive shaft but thats fine.  if i cant can i take the long tail shaft off the old trans and put it on the other tranny thanks guys

Yes you can swap it with the new driveshaft. The other way is possible but requires a tear down of both transmissions

The short will fit in place of the long, as for switching the tail shafts you'll have to change the output shafts too and that takes disassy. of most of the trany to get the job done.
