87 silverado 5.7. My truck has a bog at around mid throttle and comes out of it if you mash the gas. I put a new oxygen sensor with no change. Truck runs great if you unplug the map sensor. Could it be low fuel pressure? Any other ideas? Code 44 is the only one set.

Look for anything that could cause a lean condition
Vacuum leaks, tbi base gasket is very common.
low fuel pressure, restricted fuel line, faulty injector
faulty sensor input

Everything seems to check out except I don't have a way to check fuel pressure. A fuel pressure gauge costs half as much as a new pump so I'm just going to change it out.

Anyone that may be interested the little rubber piece of fuel line inside the fuel tank had a split in it causing the lean condition. I could have just replaced that piece of rubber and problem solved but since the tank was down I put a new delphi pump in it for piece of mind.
