Title: 52/56" front springs and 64" rear springs....
Post by: malibu795 on October 31, 2009, 08:05:13 pm
so i got my hands on some stock 2500Hd rear springs.. they are 64" eye to eye..

think about re-do the rear shackles and hangers in the back (52") springs for the 64s and pull some leaves out the the rear and mount them up front...

any on done this? advice?

IMO think the ride quality would improve plus suspenson flex as well

Been done lots before. You need to move the hangers both front and back, and if you are puttin the 52's up front, I wouldn't take any leafs out before you try it. They are pretty flexy as is and if it is a road going vehicle you may want to keep it a bit firm. The rear will be flexy as heck. You may get axle wrap depending on power to the rear axle.

Check out Pirate4x4 forum. There is lots of good info there. Make sure you do extensive searches first though before asking questions.
