Title: Black interior?
Post by: 327power on November 02, 2009, 11:18:31 pm: Hello, could anybody post some pictures of a black interior? I'm thinking of doing a black on black deal on my 81' Custom Deluxe stepside.
Also thinking of going with the 70's style interior as well. Thanks! 8)

I have black carpet, black door panels, black dash, black seats, black on black everything. Very little contrasting colors. My 74 is kinda like Darth Vader lol I can't take pics now because the interior is completely gutted while I'm finishing the body work.

you are going from black TO maroon?

are you going to be getting rid of any of the trim? door panels.. etc? i am looking at changing my entire interior to black.

i missread that one also lol but as said above its nothing to clean them up and spay them down with flat black

Yes its very simple, you just remove all the screws holding down the dash pad, along the front and the gauge cluster surround as well. Once thats out of the way, simply lift the front of the dash pad enough to clear the wheel, and pull.

Post by: Irish_Alley on November 18, 2009, 02:06:30 am: there is clips that clip into the top of the dash thats the only think you should be fighting against once the bolts are out. then the space between the pillars is a pain but it will slide out. when putting it back in just make sure those clips go back under the dash
